A note from arranger Don Chapman:
Many classically trained keyboardists have
trouble improvising (I should know, I'm a
classically trained keyboardist who didn't
know how to improvise!) and it's a big obstacle
to worship flow.
I've developed WorshipFlow.com
to help keyboardists
transition between different
keys in a praise
set while giving them something
to play underneath
a prayer or Scripture reading.
I call it
"noodle music!"
Before I learned to improvise, one complaint
I had was that I simply didn't know what
to play. Hopefully my underscores will be
a first step for those who don't yet improvise.
The underscores are interactive
- if the
prayer is short, the underscore
can be short.
If the prayer goes longer, the
underscore
can be extended. Most underscores
have 2
sections for variety.
Each underscore is one page -
handy for the
keyboardist to set to the side
of their other
sheet music, ready for the transition.
