Audition and Song Selection Process

The WorshipLeaderHangout guys explain how they select and prepare worship songs for their churches. To introduce a new song, they may include it in the pre-roll or send it to the congregation via email to ensure that they’re familiar with it before it’s sung. They also explain their process for selecting new worship team members. They require an application and an audition, which involves a vocal range and pitch test or a two-minute instrumental performance followed by playing a song alone and with the team. They also emphasize that they only select team members who are genuinely interested in joining the team.

From Worshipflow editor Don Chapman:

I like to listen to Youtube videos/podcasts as I drive around and have wished I could find a good, current playlist of all the top worship songs.

I can’t find any! So I made my own on the Worshipflow Youtube channel!

You’ll find playlists for the top CCLI, Praisecharts and CCM radio hits updated every week.
