Why Churches are Bad at Transitions, and How to Fix It

Sunday Sounds focuses here on how keyboard players can make transitions between songs and sections of the service stress-free. David Pfaltzgraff suggests that keys players can help make these moments graceful, but many times they end up being awkward. To help with this, he suggests changing your mindset when preparing for a service by looking at the order as seven things instead of four: song one, then a transition, song two, another transition, and so on. This extra minute or two of preparation helps ensure smoother transitions.
